Recognition for the depth you bring
Diploma Endorsements
(for high-school students)
At Clonlara, every diploma is personalized by design, built around each student’s own interests, strengths, and pace. A Diploma Endorsement takes that a step further: an optional addition to a Clonlara diploma that formally recognizes sustained, focused work in one specific area, from science and engineering to the arts.
What Makes a Clonlara Endorsement Unique?

Built on Our Mission
An Endorsement puts Clonlara's mission into practice: to recognize and support each learner's curiosity, interests, strengths, and talents.

Flexible Subject Areas
Electives are shaped around what genuinely interests the student and where they shine brightest, not pulled from a fixed, required list of courses.

A Capstone to Show for It
Every Endorsement culminates in a Capstone Project that showcases what a student independently built, researched, or learned.

An Edge on College Applications
A documented, multi-year area of focus gives a student something specific and real to bring to an application essay, an interview, or a resume.
How It Works
To earn an Endorsement, a student completes at least 5 elective credits in their chosen area, plus a Capstone Project. Students can pursue more than one Endorsement, completing a separate Capstone for each. Talk with your advisor to map out which electives count toward an Endorsement and what a Capstone Project could look like.
Why It Matters for Post-Graduation
Clonlara’s graduation requirements are already built to prepare students for whatever comes after high school, whether that’s a four-year university, a trade path, or another route entirely. They cover the core areas that matter either way: English, math, science, social studies, and a world language, along with strong reading, writing, and reasoning skills.
An Endorsement can take shape as a scientific research project, a music composition portfolio, a comparative global policy analysis, or hands-on computer science experience, something real to bring to a college application, an interview, or a resume. It’s work that a student can speak to firsthand, saying “This is where I did my deepest work.”
