Celebrating the Class of 2020

Congratulations Class of 2020

By Clonlara School

Even for a school that has seen and done so much in its long history, this was a unique year! The coronavirus forced us to close our campus and administrative offices and cancel all in-person events, but it did not prevent us from serving our students around the world. And it did not stop our graduates from completing their studies and finding creative ways to do their volunteer service with stay-at-home orders and social distancing in place.

Clonlara School’s Class of 2020 included 128 students, representing 21 U.S. states and 23 countries. They earned scholarships and awards totaling more than $1.5 million to help pursue their passions and goals next year in the colleges and careers of their choice. Please join us in a “virtual celebration” of these inspiring individuals’ many accomplishments.

We encourage audience participation. Feel free to pause or rewind the video so that you don’t miss a moment!

In keeping with Clonlara’s philosophy of empowering students to participate purposefully and eagerly in their education, the members of the Class of 2020 took much of the responsibility for designing and following their own paths, and for meeting their educational goals. Because of this, we know that they will maintain their innate curiosity and continue to be self-confident learners in their future endeavors.

As our Lead Advisor April Huard said in her message to the graduates, “You have taken advantage of your educational freedom and have followed your curiosities…. You are in the company of very talented dancers, musicians, scientists, historians, artists, writers, coders, and cooks. [We] know that each one of you will make your mark in the world in your own unique way.”

Congratulations, Class of 2020! We celebrate you for educational accomplishments, your individuality, and your perseverance in continuing your learning journeys during this challenging time.
