Q'orianka's comments

Q'orianka and FCXAbout 2 years ago. When I first found out about the existence of hydrogen cars, I challenged myself to make my first car a hydrogen fuel cell car! I promised myself to stick with this challenge … even though I quickly started to realize that this might be a pretty unrealistic dream, and that if I was to stick to my promise. I might not have a car for, well, maybe a decade!!!

I am so glad its only 2007! Thank you Honda. Your slogan, "the possibility of dreams," is well deserved! And a big thanks you to Tim Cunningham and Steve Ellis from Hondas alternative energy department, for making this moment possible! Also a big Thank you to Daniel Emmet from energy dependence now, for having introduced me to the possibility and Idea in the first place.

As a young artist in this new age of information and technology, I feel it to be a great privilege and responsibility to use my voice for positive social and environmental change on a local and global level, believing that we have to force changes first within ourselves and then with our own lifestyle before we can motivate others to make changes.

Social and environmental change is something we, the young generation, have to demand. We have step up to the challenges of the Future and own responsibility for the choices we make today.

Therefore, I am very exited to introduce a "real world Hydrogen car" to my generation as a real possibility and choice. Hydrogen technology offers an exiting possibility in terms of pushing the envelope towards a 100% renewable and sustainable energy and fuel source. Hydrogen is the most abundant energy source in the Universe … and can be derived from a diverse portfolio of sources, especially Renewable Sources such as Water, wind, Solar, bio mass and geo thermal.

As a teenager, I feel a strong responsibility not only towards the dream for A GREENER TOMORROW! But for the reality of a greener today! My hope is that all our nations leaders have the wisdom to see the immediate need to bring about a shift in environmental consciousness, actions and accountability. We cannot eat drink or breath money or profit!!

I hope that we can all encourage each other to take initiative, practice critical thinking and educate ourselves about the consequences of everyday actions we take and the possibilities and opportunities we have in making more positive choices for our children's future. Taking care and respecting our Earth is of global importance to all of us as humanity!

We all have one common need as inhabitants of this beautiful planet! A clean healthy environment is key to our survival as a human race. And ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY is a sign of TRUE EVOLUTION and human development. Thank you so much for coming!
