Clonlara In The News
Update on home education activities in Sweden and how you can help:
Clonlara School cited in Detroit News article:
Chandra Montgomery Nicol, Executive Director of Clonlara School, was interviewed twice on Detroit's WJR radio:
Chandra also participated in a video project in the summer of 2007 which produced an excellent 5 minute introduction to Clonlara: A few excerpts from one of Clonlara's recent newsletters: "Clonlara School and One Mission of Education" - The Learning Edge Jan. 9, 2009 Vol. 25, No. 2. "Clonlara has established an affiliate relationship with Project Esperanza in the Dominican Republic and we have been able to offer a scholarship for them to enroll their first high school student in our Home Based Education Program. We are pleased to be able to work with others who offer such a direct service to others in need."" "Helping Haitians is a cause close to Clonlara's heart, since it propelled our co-founder, Jim Montgomery, into his career of service to international students. He learned that Haiti's dictator, François 'Papa Doc' Duvalier, had attened the University of Michigan for a year in the '30s. Jim hoped that by providing a hospitable and helpful presence to foreigners at the University, they would be more likely to spread kindness when they returned to their native countries." "It is our great honor at Clonlara to be a part of the mission of education that Project Esperanza follows. We hold them in our hearts this year, and hope that our relationship spans many more to come. If it is at all possible, please consider a donation to Clonlara School to help maintain this affiliation. No amount is too small, and it is fully tax-deductible."
